The E-way Bill System, implemented in April 2018, aimed to facilitate the seamless transportation of goods throughout the nation and transparency in GST data.
There are instances where a singular consignment must be divided into segments and transported via multiple vehicles due to logistical constraints, such as the inability of initial vehicles to reach their destinations. The concept of the Multi-Vehicle Option proposes the utilization of a single E-way Bill across multiple vehicles.
This option allows consignment of one e-way bill to move in multiple vehicles. This option is used when the goods have moved to some place in a bigger vehicle and further it is not possible to move in the same mode of transport or vehicle. So, the goods are moved further in smaller vehicles.
For example, an e-way bill is generated and needs to be moved from A to C. Here, the consignment moves from A to B via Rail or a bigger vehicle. Now, it is not possible to move the consignment from B to C in the same mode of transportation due to the unavailability of that mode or may be due to hilly regions where big vehicles cannot be used. In such cases, the consignment needs to be moved into multiple smaller vehicles.
Therefore, there is an option on the E-Way bill portal to select a multi-vehicle option while generating an E-Way Bill for a single consignment.
CashFlo offers a new Multi-Vehicle Movement service for generating E-Way Bills, facilitating the transportation of goods in multiple vehicles from one location to another. It presents a convenient solution for businesses facing logistical challenges in transporting goods. By allowing a single E-Way Bill to cover multiple vehicles, this option streamlines the transportation process and ensures compliance with GST regulations. With CashFlo's user-friendly interface and step-by-step guidance, businesses can easily navigate the process of selecting the multi-vehicle option, thereby facilitating seamless movement of goods across various modes of transport.
